What is LPS?

1 answer

LPS stands for luteal phase stimulation; the doctor prescribes medication after your first egg retrieval (in the second half of your cycle) to try and develop the small follicles that are still remaining. This means two egg retrievals in the same cycle. LPS can be difficult to manage because it is so new but is an option if no egg was able to be retrieved in the first egg retrieval. LPS is good for women with low ovarian reserve and high FSH.
